This seems to be a word we use a lot at James Hopkins Coaching and for good reason too.
With the right mindset, you can carry yourself through even the toughest times.
You can push through the losses and one day, rise as a success.
But what exactly is our mindset? And how do we know if our mindset is benefiting us or not?
At James Hopkins Coaching, we believe that your mindset is the way you see the world.
It will determine whether or not you are fixed in your views, or you accept that change is simply a part of life.
Understanding your mindset is a major mental hurdle for individuals and can truly change your entire outlook on life.
With practice, you can train your brain to more efficiently react to various circumstances as well as alter the way that you look at challenges.
So, what can you actually do to change your mindset and the way you look at life?
One of the best ways of changing your mindset is meditation.
A small meditation session for only 10 minutes a day can change everything.
It can help reduce stress, blood pressure and reduce the risk of mental health problems.
Much like a muscle in your body, your brain is trained through repetition.
Each time you meditate, it is the equivalent of completing exercises for your brain.

The second way to alter your mindset, is to make self-development a top priority in your life.
We understand that life can be extremely busy.
As a result, we often get so caught up in our day to day activities that we forget to care for ourselves.
Take time out of your day to embrace self-development.
Be intentional about your development.
Complete yoga sessions, go to the gym, read books and begin blocking out negative thoughts.
Life is stressful, that is a reality. However, by developing yourself every day you can begin to overcome any stress and negativity that will come your way.
At James Hopkins Coaching, we also stress the importance of gratitude.
With so much negativity in the world, it can be extremely easy to focus on the bad things.
We suggest that every day, think of 3 things you’re grateful for.
This can be done when you wake up, when you go to sleep, or throughout your day.
Think about what you’re grateful about in life.
Is it your family? Your friends? Your job? It can be anything you like.
The more you practice this skill, the more you will create abundance in your life.
You will begin to block out the negativity and focus on the things that make you happy.
By practising these skills for only a few minutes every day, you can truly begin to change your mindset and your overall outlook on life.
It’s the small incremental changes that will make the biggest difference.
